New year, new look! Check out the recently relaunched ZIP Magazine. This online magazine, founded by Austrian fashion editor Katja Schmolka, is characterized by its great international stories and behind-the-scene interviews in the world of art, culture and fashion.  
Though in the digital world, boundaries became quasi inexistent, the New York based magazine benefits from being in the middle of the happenings, in the middle of the world.

This has never happened before: At my yesterday´s quick shopping trip I realized that this seasons summer sale is already in stores! My new lovely flat sandals See by Chloé were my snap of this season and kind of compensated my hard past weeks. Spying for a new handbag...by...?!

FASHION SPRING

Finally we have Spring back and full Summer collections in stores. Reason enough to celebrate this new fashion season charmed by soft pastel nuances, chic vintage flavors and bright color moods.

United Nude, the architectural footwear brand, invited to an exclusive shopping evening at there boutique, to view and try on their newcomer designs bearing names related to their inspiration. Check out 'The Web', 'Geisha' and Crazy Lazy' etc. on unitednude.com.

And I found my must-have sandals for the season. Flat, perfect to shorts and long dresses. My wardrobe shrank last year, after three cleanings-out only the best of the best passed. A casting show for my clothes, you´re in and you´r out.  My classic white blouse is out, which I really missed this week for some reasons. Me and a white blouse? Its like Eva and Ryan.
Back to my sandals, which I did not dare to try them on, my tight budget (do I even have a budget?) prevented me. Its sometimes good to be a rationalist. And currently my life is a casting show.

WHAT´S HAPPENING?

To visit till 30th, April 2012 at Ausstellungszentrum Heiligenkreuzer Hof, Vienna.

Vienna. My Tuesday afternoon, still in my Aigle winter parker, led me to visit Elfie Semotan`s exibition, bearing her name, at the University of Applying Arts. Its an homage to the Austrian renowned contemporary artist, showing photographs and sculptures in a wonderful baroque setting. For me her work a perfect imperfection, realistic emotional, fragile but still strong, aesthetic with depth.

My day ended by a stop at HAPPY ENDING, a Pop Up Fashion Store under the slogan "give fashion a chance...give fashion a happy ending". Reasonable, nice designer pieces from former collections. An event where again more the scenes get-together was celebrated that the fashion itself.
I am waiting for the next Sample Sale, but not in Vienna.
